TOLO Green operates in the Italian Solar Energy market, developing plants, together or through important and strategic partnerships, that can be resold within the market or kept in its investment portfolio. TOLO Green operates through its professionals’ network as Management Company to develop Photovoltaic plants for third party investors.
Geothermal Energy
Concerning the Geothermal Energy market, TOLO Green is committed to the development of an important project in the Fábiánsebestyén area (Hungary), holding exclusive access to all the licenses needed to exploit the biggest Hungarian Geothermal Energy reservoir.
Other projects
Moreover, thanks to bilateral agreements with the Ministries of Environment of Italy, People’s Republic of China and some Balkan countries, the company developed several projects with positive economic and environmental outcomes.
THE GROUP
TOLO Green is a company founded in 2009 as part of the TOLO Group, already present in the market with an important track record as advisor and financial investor. The company’s aim is to develop and manage project design and production of Energy from Renewable resources.
Regarding the solar energy market, after previous group’s investments in the south of Italy (Apulia), TOLO Green promoted the Joint Venture (TRP PVE B.V.) with Shangai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co. Ltd. (SAAE) and listed it in Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE). The Chinese company is controlled by China Aerospace Science & Technology Corp. and it carries manufacturing tests on photovoltaic modules. The aim of the project was to develop the Photovoltaic market in Italy.
This investment involved 200 workers, farmers and technicians and costs of about 50 million Euro for an overall capacity of 12.8 MW.
Concerning the Geothermal Energy market, TOLO Green acquired exclusive rights and licenses needed to exploit the biggest Geothermal Energy reservoir in Hungary.
This venture arises in 1985, when an important underground reservoir with high temperature, pressure and enthalpy was found during the oil research campaign where the exploration well FAB-4 was established.
Oregon Investment Kft (67%) and Geofluidum Kft (33%) founded the company Geoblu Kft in October 2007, with the aim to develop a project for the realisation of a 67 MWe Geothermal Powerplant in Fábiánsebestyén area (Hungary).
Oregon Investment’s share was bought by TOLO Group in June 2009, and it is now held by the controlled company TRP GEO S.p.A.
TOLO green and Microalgae
In the last years, the company’s business model has been focused on the valorisation of microalgae production plants that were previously tested and present in different areas in Italy and abroad, and currently in their following upgrade.
The group will operate in the European market through its new brands that are going to be launched in 2020. It is going to take part in the novel people diet, adding novel consumable vegetarian proteins thus reducing alimentary animal meat production. Following organic production of Spirulina, proteins by-products, resulting after extraction of the most valuable compounds, can be used in farms both for livestock and agriculture.
Currently, commercial businesses are already present in the protein supplements market for food products. Several brands in a testing phase have been released, in order to assess their attractiveness in this market characterised by an high growth potential.
