Zero impact
The plants tested allow the development of an industrial / agricultural plan of significant impact for the sector’s activities in Sardinia. Microalgae will be produced for food purposes with 100% sustainable processes with zero impact on the territory
Sustainability
The project was created in line with the concept of environmental sustainability of the TOLO Green Group
Microalgae
Production of microalgae for food purposes that will reach a total annual production of 150 tons of spirulina
The new Spirulina cultivation plants in areas to be defined (in the provinces of Oristano and Cagliari) will be located at two microalgae production sites for food purposes and will reach a total annual production of 150 tons of Spirulina, being followed by 100% sustainable processes with zero impact on the territory.
The plants are subdivided into 2 units: the cultivation unit and the processing unit. The first unit is made up of cultivation tanks, located within a large greenhouse where microalgae cultivation will take place; the second one, instead, consists of a lab and adjoining services where the transformation of microalgae from culture to finished product in carried out.

Zero Impact Production
The project is based on a model of verticalization of the production process in the biotechnology sector, and on a subsequent technology.
