The national rugby representative formed by the Fire Brigade is 2019 World Champion

The Cavaliers, the national rugby representative formed by the fire brigade, won the title of World Champions at the World Police & Fire Games in Chengdu (P.R. China), after beating France in the final for 14 to 5.

With them on the top step of the podium TOLO Green, who chose to support the team in this adventure, emphasizing how much the energy used is crucial for the result, especially if it comes from natural protein contents.

The World Police & Fire Games are the world championships for law enforcement athletes. Born in the 1980s, they annually bring together over 35,000 athletes from around sixty nations who compete in over 50 disciplines. Numbers only slightly lower than the Olympic Games. The game venues have touched all 5 continents.

The Italian team is entirely made up of personnel belonging to the various roles of the National Fire Brigade. For 20 years they have been working, playing and winning around the world in rugby sevens, an Olympic discipline since 2016.

World Champion in Canada in 2005 and in Korea in 2010, the Silver Medal in 2015 in Fairfax, Italy returns to the top step of the podium.

The team was coached by Danielle Siân Waterman, best world player for some seasons, who from 2003 to 2018 played in the English women’s national rugby team, with which she played 4 consecutive World Cups winning the title in 2014 against Canada, scoring the only goal of the finals ended 21 to 9.
